The German Intermediate course allows learners to express themselves in spoken and written German, using simple language for everyday situations that are relevant for them. Learners will be able to take part in conversations where they will describe what they need, their surroundings and talk about past events.
As a result of this course, learners will be able to talk about personal experiences; express their opinion; express agreement and disagreement; describe images; talk about past events and describe past holidays.

Please note there are no classes during half term.

What next?
German - Intermediate Level B
Entry criteria
This course is designed for students who studied German for about two academic years and learnt to speak at the present tense with some knowledge of past tenses. Students should be able, from the start, to describe their weekly routine, to talk about their habits and their hobbies. The standard approximates to Level A2 in terms of the Common European Framework.

Please note - you should be 19 years old or over at 31st August 2026 prior to starting the course.
