Discover a fresh, modern approach to floristry with our Spring Floristry Course. This hands-on, non-accredited course focuses on seasonal design, sustainability, and creative expression using summer’s finest flowers and foliage. Perfect for beginners and those looking to expand their skills and develop a confident floral style.
This immersive summer floristry course blends traditional techniques with contemporary design trends, encouraging artistic expression and sustainability. You’ll work with garden-grown and foraged materials, exploring the rich textures and colours of the season.

Each session is interactive and practical, ensuring you leave with knowledge and floral pieces to take home.

What to bring:- Pen and notebook- Floristry scissors or secateurs- String or twine- A camera (optional)- An apron (recommended)

All other materials will be provided.We recommend wearing closed, comfortable shoes.Free parking onsite, bring own refreshments. No class during half term. We recommend wearing closed, comfortable shoes.

- Sustainable Floristry in Summer – Ethical sourcing and working with natural mechanics
- The Art of Hand-Tied Bouquets – Spiral techniques and structuring dynamic summer arrangements
- Foam-Free Floral Design – Creating long-lasting designs without floral foam
- Foraging & Working with Texture – Selecting natural elements to add depth and interest
- Personal Expression in Floristry – Developing your own style through composition and materials
- Flower Care & Conditioning – Maximising the lifespan of your creations
- Planning & Preparation – How to plan ahead and choose the best materials to bring your ideas to life
- Each session is interactive and practical, ensuring you leave with knowledge and floral pieces to take home.
- Workshop duration: Full day (with a lunch break)
What next?
After the course you may wish to continue on a further floristry course to extend your floristry knowledge – perhaps to gain a qualification or pursue a career in floristry. Abingdon and Witney College provide some accredited courses leading to possible careers or self-employment in floristry.

Please note - you should be 19 years old or over at 31st August 2026 prior to starting the course.

This course/workshop includes a material fee that provides essential resources and hands-on demonstrations, empowering you to achieve your learning goals and master new skills with confidence.

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
