Step into a world where floristry isn’t just about flowers - it’s about creativity, sustainability, and seeing the extraordinary in the everyday.
This course is for anyone craving a fresh take on floral design, whether you’re a curious beginner, a hobbyist looking to innovate, or someone dreaming of a career that blends art with eco-conscious practices.

This isn’t a conventional floristry course. Our approach is rooted in sustainability, resourcefulness, and playful experimentation. You’ll develop an eye for hidden beauty, discover budget-friendly alternatives to cut flowers, and learn techniques that reduce waste while amplifying creativity. By the end, you’ll not only master foundational skills but also cultivate a mindset that turns “ordinary” into “extraordinary.”

During the course, we will be working with rich autumnal hues, seasonal materials such as dried seed-heads and rustic textures. Create arrangements inspired by nature’s transition, using pumpkins, berries, and foliage foraged from local gardens and hedgerows. Learn to repurpose storm-fallen branches into striking centrepieces and wreaths, blending traditional floristry skills with sustainable practices.

We recommend wearing closed, comfortable shoes.

Please note there will be no class during half-term.Parking is available on Campus, but should the car park be full please use Marriotts Walk or Woodford Way car parks which are a few minutes' walk from the college. Please report to reception on arrival. A photo-id will be issued for you to wear when attending classes. Vending machines are available.

What next?
After the course you may wish to continue on a further floristry course to extend your floristry knowledge – perhaps to gain a qualification or pursue a career in floristry.

Abingdon and Witney College provide some accredited courses leading to possible careers or self-employment in floristry.
