If you’ve always been interested in flower arranging but never received any practical tuition in it, why not sign up for a beginner’s floristry course to get some professional guidance?
This course is for the very beginner and for anyone with a passion for being creative with flowers, whether it becomes a relaxing hobby or the start of a floral career.

There’s nothing quite like a bunch of flowers to perk up your domestic space with delicious scents and beautiful colours – but the joy of fresh flowers can be greater still when they’ve been crafted into an elaborate arrangement by your own hand. This can end up being a much more economical way of enjoying beautiful bouquets – which can be made from all sorts of foraged plants or cut flowers from the market once you know what to do with them.

This is a course will cover:• Conditioning of flowers. • Choosing your flowers and foliage.• Creating arrangements from hand tied bouquets through to beautiful seasonal arrangements. With tips and trade secrets along the way too! The tutor will explain, email, and then demonstrate the item, allowing for questions so that you have all the information needed for the following week. Please do not purchase materials until your course is confirmed. You will need to bring each week: (1) Your self-chosen flowers and foliage every week, (2) Containers, (3) Tapes, (4) Wires, (5) String. Starter floristry kits are available online with basic equipment required. If you wish to create a diary, please bring a note pad and pen and phone/camera to photograph your display. These can create lovely portfolios if you wish to go further in floristry.

Please note there will be no classes on 25/10/2024 and 01/11/2024.In order to avoid disappointment, it is advisable to enrol at least 2 ½ weeks prior to the course starting. We will confirm course information two weeks prior to the start date.
