Fast Forward is a programme designed to enable young people to make rapid progress with key skills so that they can progress into a vocational area, learn a trade or become qualified in industry. Fast Forward is designed for young people who have not yet achieved the entry requirements for a Level 1 vocational programme.
The Fast Forward programme provides supported continuation of GCSEs in English and maths, alongside development of personal and study skills that will support young people to be successful in any industry.

Students on Fast Forward also access Careers Education and can try out various vocational areas through their enrichment programme to help them make informed decisions about their next steps.

What next?
The course is designed to support young people aged 16-19 to progress into a vocational course of their interest. Most students progress onto a Level 1 programme from Fast Forward.
Entry criteria
There are no formal entry requirements.

This course is designed to prepare young people who are not yet able to join a vocational programme for college life and enable them to achieve appropriate English and Maths qualifications for progression.
