Microsoft Excel is an invaluable tool in the workplace and an essential skill if you aspire to improve your career prospects in administrative roles. Spreadsheets are equally a useful personal skill for enhancing processes like tracking your personal finances and recording data for hobbies and interests. This Microsoft Excel course is ideal for those who have basic computer skills and wish to gain an overview of spreadsheet features and functions.
This course will introduce you to the key basic features and functions of the Microsoft Excel programme including ribbons and toolbars, inserting, deleting and moving data and cells, modifying columns, rows and cells along with formatting the appearance of cells and number formats.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course however, it is preferable for learners to have some previous experience using a keyboard and mouse.

Learning & method assessment
This course has no formal assessment, and your progress is monitored by the course tutor who will be available to support you throughout. Learning activities will mainly be organised in pair work/small groups. Homework every week will be based on a summary sheet of the lesson for you to review in your own time. There will be no formal examination. All learners will have access to individual workstations.

As this is a non-accredited course, there is no formal qualification. To track your progress and achievement you will be required to complete a short document.
