This Microsoft Excel Improvers course is ideal for those who have a basic working knowledge of Excel and wish to advance their skills.
During this course learners will build on their basic Excel skills and learn more complex formulae. Topics include:

• Creating and Modifying Formulas. • Formatting or modifying text by using formulas. • Displaying and printing formulas. • Presenting data visually. • Creating and formatting charts. • Applying conditional formatting. • Sorting and filtering data. • Searching and sorting. • Working with pivot tables.

Entry criteria
There are no formal entry requirements for this course although learners will need to have a basic knowledge of Excel, or have completed the Introduction course.

Learning & method assessment
This course has no formal assessment, and your progress is monitored by the course tutor who will be available to support you throughout. Learning activities will mainly be organised in pair work/small groups. Homework every week will be based on a summary sheet of the lesson for you to review in your own time. There will be no formal examination. All learners will have access to individual workstations.

As this is a non-accredited course, there is no formal qualification. To track your progress and achievement you will be required to complete a short document.
