Designed for adults, career changers and those new to the trade, this course provides the essential knowledge and practical skills required to progress within the electrical sector.
The City & Guilds 2365-02 Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation is an industry-recognised qualification that provides a strong foundation in electrical installation principles and practices. Delivered through evening classes, it is ideal for learners who wish to study alongside work or other commitments.

You will develop both theoretical understanding and practical skills across domestic, commercial and industrial electrical installations. Successful completion of the course can lead to progression onto the Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation and further qualifications required to become a fully qualified electrician.

Course units
The course combines classroom theory with practical workshop activities and typically covers:

• Health and Safety in Building Services Engineering

• Electrical Science and Principles

• Electrical Installation Technology

• Installation of Wiring Systems and Enclosures

• Communication within the Construction and Building Services Sector

• Practical installation skills including cable installation, containment systems and electrical testing principles

Assessment is through a combination of online multiple-choice examinations and practical assessments.

Entry criteria
Applicants should be aged 18 or over.
No previous electrical qualifications or experience are required.
