It is estimated that one in five adults lack basic digital skills. This qualification aims to enable learners to develop the digital skills they need for life, work, or further study.
The content of the qualifications is based on the National standards for essential digital skills April 2019. This qualification will enable learners to develop the digital skills they need for life, work, or further study as set out in the National standards for essential digital skills. This course is designed to assess the preparedness of a learner to undertake the full qualification. Alongside your tutor you will decide on your path forward after fully assessing your present skillset. No class during half term.

What next?
Entry Level 3 in Essential Digital Skills or Digital Skills for life depending on your assessment.
Entry criteria
You should be 19 years old or over on the 31st August 2024 prior to starting the course and have some basic computer skills. You should ideally be looking for work or wishing to improve your employment prospects by enrolling onto this course.You will be invited to a short interview with the course leader. You will also be required to undertake an English Skills assessment as well as an initial assessment of your current digital skills to ensure you are applying to the correct level.

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
