Free to apprentices. This apprenticeship has a £21,000 funding band. Depending on age some small companies will need to contribute £1050 toward the funding; large companies could pay through the apprenticeship levy if they have funds available.

Engineering Manufacturing Technician L4 Apprenticeship (Pass or Distinction)
Level 4 BTEC Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Engineering for England (2024)

The apprenticeship will involve a combination of classroom-based learning, practical workshops, on-the-job training, and project assignments.
Assessment methods may include exams, portfolio assessments, workplace observations, and a final project demonstrating applied engineering skills.
At the end of the taught content the Apprentice will undertake an external End Point Assessment which will include two assessments:
Assessment method 1: Observation with questioning
Assessment method 2: Professional discussion supported by a portfolio of evidence
