Applicants are required to have A*- B / 9 - 5 in Maths and A*- C / 9 - 4 English, or equivalent, plus one of the following: an A Level pass in either Maths or Physics (or closely related subject), a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Engineering (ideally with a merit in the Further Maths), any other qualification deemed equivalent.

Free to apprentices. This apprenticeship has a £21,000 funding band. Depending on age some small companies will need to contribute £1050 toward the funding; large companies could pay through the apprenticeship levy if they have funds available.
