In your second year, you’ll focus on developing expertise in supporting teachers, creating engaging learning environments, and helping pupils reach their full potential. Alongside these technical skills, you’ll also build confidence, communication, and teamwork skills which are all essential qualities for a future in education.
T Level placements in Education and Early Years or Health and Social Care involve regulated activity with children and/or vulnerable people. This means students will be directly engaged in caring for, supervising, or educating children and/or vulnerable people. Due to the responsibilities involved, a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is a necessary requirement. This check helps ensure students are suitable to work with children and/or vulnerable people and plays a vital role in safeguarding and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment. As part of the enrolment process, students will be asked to bring in the necessary documentation to complete their DBS check. In addition, primary schools, nurseries and care settings will request confirmation of a student’s suitability to work within the sector before accepting them on placement.
