This programme is designed for adult learners who have completed an introductory photography course and wish to further develop their technical skills, creative confidence, and personal photographic direction. Across three progressive units, learners will move from strengthening core photographic techniques to developing a sustained project, and finally to producing and presenting a cohesive portfolio of work.
The course is structured around a combination of practical image-making, critical discussion, and independent creative development, supporting learners in building both confidence and a more individual photographic approach. Learners will deepen their technical knowledge while exploring visual approaches relevant to their chosen genre. By the end of the course, learners will produce a small body of images that demonstrate improved technical control and a clearer visual direction within their chosen photographic style.

The course will cover:- Practical photography exercises exploring light, composition, and movement - Guided shooting sessions focusing on their chosen photographic genre - Visual analysis of photographic work to understand different styles and approaches - Group discussions to reflect on image-making decisions - Editing workshops introducing image selection and basic post-processing

There will be no class during half-term.Free parking. No refreshments available at venue, please bring with you. The school have a Nut-Free Policy - no foods containing nuts.
