A Digital Photography course following on from Stage Five. This stage six completes the cycle of DSLR photography and continues to develop and apply techniques and knowledge gained from the previous stages.
This course will consolidate the learners experience from the previous stages.

Once again a variety of photographic genres will be explored including Still Life, Landscape, Abstraction,Portraiture and Street Photography.Learners will be given the opportunity to try out their responses to these themes both through set homework and class discussion.One of the main learning objectives of this course is to help the learner discover the type of photography that they are really interested in and provide them with the skills to help them pursue it.

Entry criteria
There are no formal entry requirements for this course for those who have completed the Colleges stage four or equivalent, or for those who have a good understanding of aperture, shutter speed and ISO and can use their cameras in manual mode. An interest in photographers and photography in general will enable the learner to gain maximum benefit from this course.

Please note this course is not suitable if you own a standard point and shoot compact camera. You will need a digital DSLR or Bridge camera.

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.

Learning & method assessment
Learning methods include presentation, demonstration, practical work, working in pairs and small groups, discussion and question and answer sessions. Your tutor will ask you to complete assessment exercises and give you informal feedback.
To track your progress and achievement you will be required to complete a short document.
