The Digital DSLR Photography - Stage 3 course is a follow on from our Stage 1 and Stage 2 courses. The course is designed to consolidate all that you have learnt so far, by taking you to a series of venues where you can put into practice your growing skills. This will include practice on Landscape, Wildlife, Architecture, Portrait, Action and Documentary photography.
To give you practical experience of taking photographs in a variety of settings. Please note that most classes will take place on location, away from the classroom.

By the end of the course learners will have had the opportunity to:• Explain the best lenses and filters for individual situations.• Experiment with using the camera in manual mode.• Explain the rules of composition and how they relate to different genres.

Please note there will be no class on 28/05/2025.Free parking onsite, bus stop outside. Bring own refreshments if needed. No class during half term.

In order to avoid disappointment, it is advisable to enrol at least 2½ weeks prior to the course starting. We will confirm course information two weeks prior to the start date.

Entry criteria
For those who have completed the Stage 2 course or equivalent, or for those who have a good understanding of aperture, shutter and ISO and are using their cameras off auto mode. Please note this course is not suitable if you own a standard point and shoot compact camera. There are no entry requirements for this course.
Fee information
On some sessions you may be asked to bring your homework as prints, which may incur additional costs of up to £5 per week as you will need to get some prints made, either online or at Boots, Jessops etc

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.

Learning & method assessment
As this is a non-accredited course, informal methods of assessment will be used.
A digital photography course following on from Stages 1 and 2. This will include practice on Landscape, Wildlife, Architecture, Portrait, Action and Documentary photography. To track your progress and achievement you will be required to complete a short document.
