Old Mill HallMain topics covered: • The basic rules of sketching a still life in basic shape and proportions.• Techniques of modern artists related to still life.• Basic rules of perspective.• Colour theory.• Creating a three-dimensional image of a still-life in gouache by using different tonal patterns and knowledge about the main rules of perspective. • The basic rules of sketching a portrait in basic shape and proportions.• Shading techniques to create three-dimensional imagery of a portrait on a two-dimensional plane.
Please note there are no classes during half term.
Please note - you should be 19 years old or over at 31st August 2026 prior to starting the course.
As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
