On this course you will gain the practical skills and knowledge that is vital for becoming a professional dog groomer. The course takes place at Common Leys Farm Campus in the purpose-built grooming room, offering a relaxed and professional environment.
On this course, the groomer who will be teaching you for this qualification is extremely friendly, passionate, and experienced, she will make you and the dogs feel relaxed and allow you to get the most out of this course.

To enrol on the course, you will need to be +19 at the start of the course, and hold the City and Guilds Level 2 Certificate for Dog Grooming Assistants to start this qualification.

Course units
• Health and Safety, legislation, and codes of practice for the dog grooming industry.
• Styling and finishing a dog.
• Health checking and handling a dog in a dog grooming environment.
• Customer service and record keeping in a grooming environment.
What next?
Most learners will use the skills and qualification to open up their own business in Dog Grooming or may wish to continue studying at a higher level.

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
