Boost your confidence with everyday technology in this flexible, beginner-friendly course. Learn at your own pace while building practical skills in computers, email, video calls and more.
Learn at your own pace and explore basic computer skills, word processing, email, video conferencing, device management and more advanced functions.

Whatever your needs, you can choose your own learning journey and see your skills and confidence grow!

Please note that the college uses windows-based systems not apple-based systems. This does not preclude you from using your apple product however please be aware that there can be slight differences in how you approach certain applications that are primarily written by Microsoft for windows.

Please bring own device, if able to.

There will be no class during half-term.

There is no parking at the Library. Local car parks are nearby.

Course units
The course is tutor lead, at your own pace, and focus will be on areas you would like to learn and discover.
As this is a non-accredited course, there is no formal qualification. To track your progress and achievement you will be required to complete a short document at the start and end of your course.

No previous knowledge or experience necessary. All welcome.

Please note - you should be 19 years old or over at 31st August 2026 prior to starting the course.

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
