Strengthen your digital confidence with this practical course designed for everyday life, the workplace, or further study. Building on Level 1, you'll broaden your understanding of essential tools and techniques through realistic, work-based tasks. Assessment is through a self-generated portfolio and topic-based assignments.
The content of the qualifications is based on the National standards for essential digital skills April 2019. This qualification will enable learners to develop the digital skills they need for life, work, or further study as set out in the National standards for essential digital skills.

The course focuses on developing skills for life and introducing learners to skills for work and covers 5 skills areas:

1. Using devices and handling information 2. Creating and editing 3. Communicating 4. Transacting 5. Being safe and responsible online

Entry criteria
You will be invited to a short interview with the course leader. You will also be required to undertake an English Skills assessment as well as an initial assessment of your current digital skills to ensure you are applying to the correct level.
Fee information
This course is free to those who meet the eligibility criteria.

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
