Abingdon CampusStudents take part in various enrichment activities such as visiting local amenities, day trips and organising fundraising activities for charity. Once a week, students will visit Common Leys Farm, where they take part in either Arts & Crafts or Horticulture. The students help to run this as a social enterprise project and are aware that the products they make and grow are then sold to the public to fund future projects.
This one year course is 4 days a week 9.00am – 3.30pm, every day, apart from Wednesdays, when the students finish at 2.30pm. Students will be at College 4 days a week and participate in Work Experience within the local community.
Transition opportunities following the completion of this course include progression to either Transition to Work or Supported Internship. This would be discussed at EHCP Annual Review meetings to determine the most appropriate progression route.
