This six-week, entry level qualification will provide learners with the skills and knowledge to improve their own employability. The course will help learners with future career decisions, progression opportunities to employment or further study.
At the end of this course learners will be able to:

- identify possible employment options - complete an application form - create a straightforward Curriculum Vitae (CV) - conduct self at interview - locate job and training opportunities in a local area - plan for future career development

In order to avoid disappointment, it is advisable to enrol at least 2½ weeks prior to the course starting. We will confirm course information two weeks prior to the start date.

There are vending machines available where hot/cold drinks and snacks can be purchased. There are watercoolers on site making it easy to refill your water bottle.There is no parking on the campus during the day. Please use Marriotts Walk or Woodford Way Car Parks which are a few minutes’ walk away.Please report to Reception on arrival. A photo-id will be issued, for you to wear when you attend classes.

What next?
Learners can progress to Level 1 Award in Employability Skills or progress to a Level 1 in a chosen sector.

Learning & method assessment
Learners will be able to participate in weekly, classroom activities to build and share knowledge alongside their peers. Learners will also have the opportunity to create a portfolio of evidence and reflective practice.
