The NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Dementia Care is designed to provide learners with comprehensive knowledge and understanding of dementia care. This qualification prepares individuals to work effectively with individuals affected by dementia, addressing various aspects of care, pain management, the impact of dementia on end-of-life care, and the role of care workers in times of loss and grief.
The curriculum explores essential aspects of dementia care taking a person-centred approach, including how to provide care to individuals at the end of their lives, manage pain and discomfort, and address the unique challenges posed by dementia. Learners will also gain insights into the loss and grief process. This course not only equips individuals to offer specialized care but also supports career development within the healthcare sector.
