Level 3 qualification in IT, Computer Science, or related field
Strong interest in Cyber security and information technology and will need to demonstrate the ability to achieve all elements of the apprenticeship during their programme, including working in a suitable job role.
Basic understanding of networking and operating systems
Applicants are likely to have 5 GCSEs A*- C / 9 - 4, including Maths and English, or equivalent.

Free to apprentices. This apprenticeship has a £18,000 funding band. Depending on age some small companies will need to contribute £900 toward the funding; large companies could pay through the apprenticeship levy if they have funds available.

Level 4 HNC in Computing for England (2022)

The apprenticeship will involve a blend of classroom-based learning, practical labs, hands-on simulations, and real-world security projects. Assessment methods may include exams, practical assessments, cybersecurity challenges, and a final project demonstrating applied security engineering skills.
At the end of the taught content the Apprentice will undertake an external End Point Assessment which will include four assessments:
