This course offers you the chance to try all sorts of different types of creative subjects to see which you enjoy the most. The course content includes photography, graphic design, sound and lighting effects, character design, costume and special effects makeup, music video and animation.
This course is a superb platform to start your journey into visual and performing arts, media and music technology. You will try a new subject every half term to develop new creative and technical skills to find out what you’re best at. We will listen to your life plans and help you move neatly onto the next step of your career. The course is structured so that you can aim to move on to a Level 2 course, a traineeship, apprenticeship or work.

The work you do will be linked to real life projects in college and the community. Students are encouraged to display their work, enter competitions and be enterprising. Your maths and English skills will be developed at the right level for you. This will improve your chances of progression into employment and to the next level of education.

What next?
Students can progress onto Level 2 courses in Art & Design, Creative Digital Media, Creative Production, Performance & Production, a traineeship or apprenticeship or employment. .

English & Maths GCSE at grade 2 or Level 1 Functional Skills in both subjects
