This cognitive fitness course offers a comprehensive overview of strategies to enhance mental agility and well-being. Covering topics such as memory improvement techniques, problem-solving skills, attention management, and stress reduction methods, participants will develop a toolkit for optimising cognitive function.
Through interactive exercises, discussions, and practical applications, learners will strengthen their mental resilience, sharpen their focus, and cultivate habits that support lifelong cognitive health. This course integrates evidence-based practices from psychology, neuroscience, and mindfulness, empowering individuals to harness their brain's full potential for improved performance and quality of life. The course will be held online using Teams and your tutor will email you calendar invites prior to classes.

This course is provided as part of the Courses for Carers programme that has been developed in partnership with Action for Carers. It is specifically for unpaid carers who are looking after someone who has a long-term illness, special need, or impairment.

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.

As this is a non-accredited course, there is no formal qualification. However, you will be asked to complete activities that demonstrate how you are progressing on your course

Learning & method assessment
As this is a non-accredited course, there is no formal qualification. However, you will be required to measure your progress by completing a RARPA form which represents the Recognising and Recording of your Progress and Achievement.

This isn’t a formal qualification.
