OnlineYou will need different art materials such as paints (acrylic or watercolour) or colouring pencils or pastels, in 3 to 4 of your favourite colours, brushes, A4 drawing paper or card, any coloured paper such as wrapping paper, cellophane, sugar paper, glue and a pair of scissors. Materials needed for the session will be emailed one week before. The programme will include:
• Africa: emotions inspired by masks• Greece: Neolithic art inspired the mother ocean• Holland: hindeloopen inspired flowers• Tahiti: Polinasian interpretation of colourful earth• Japan: Ukiyoe inspired mountain path• Australia: Dreamtime inspired patterns of life painting
By participating in this course participants will have the opportunity to: • Explore artistic styles from different cultures of the world• Identify different art skills that stimulate different parts of the brain• Create various pieces of art influenced by artistic styles from across the world
