Elevate your knowledge and understanding of construction supervision in the workplace, with our Level 4 Construction Site Supervisor apprenticeship. Designed to equip you with the skills, abilities, and confidence for a successful career within the construction industry.
Our Level 4 Site Supervisor apprenticeship is designed to help you develop the skills and techniques to lead, adapt to change, and effectively address complex construction scenarios.

The course is designed for learners with appropriate on-site experience, including responsibilities for supervising work activities. The course covers essential aspects of managing and maintaining workplace systems, ensuring health, safety, and environmental protection, and effectively planning and controlling site operations. Participants will learn to coordinate resources, foster good working relationships, and ensure quality and efficiency in construction projects. Units are the following: Maintaining Systems for Health, Safety, Welfare, and Environmental Protection in the Workplace.

Throughout the apprenticeship, you will have opportunities to demonstrate the required competence through practical evidence.

Course units
Level 4 lays the foundation for your learning by providing you with a broad introduction to the Construction sector. The units are designed to develop and strengthen your core skills whilst preparing you to study Level 5 content.

Through the course, you will gain a wide range of knowledge and skills, and develop your practical skills through research, independent study, directed study, and workplace scenarios. Your vocational study will help you to develop key behavioural and transferable skills which are highly valued in both higher education and in the workplace, such as communication, teamwork, research, and analysis.

By the end of your Level 4 apprenticeship, you will have a sound knowledge of supervising on site and competence in a range of subject-specific skills.

Entry criteria
Applicants are likely to have 4 GCSEs A*-C / 9-4 or equivalent and will need to demonstrate the ability to achieve all elements of the apprenticeship during their programme, including working in a suitable job role.
Fee information
Free to apprentices. This apprenticeship has a £14,000 funding band. Small companies will need to make a small contribution of £700; large companies could pay through the apprenticeship levy if they have funds available.

Learning & method assessment
This qualification is assessed through a Portfolio of Evidence, which is both internally and externally quality assured and compiled from evidence gathered during the learner’s work. Each unit within the qualification has specified learning outcomes and assessment criteria. To pass each unit, you must:
• Achieve all the specified learning outcomes.
• Satisfy all the assessment criteria by providing sufficient and valid evidence for each criterion.
• Prove that the evidence submitted is their own work.
User skills
You will need to maintain an assessment record that clearly identifies which assessment criteria have been met. This record should be cross-referenced with the evidence provided, detailing the type of evidence and the date of assessment. Your Training Coordinator will help you organise this.
