This qualification serves as an introductory course that provides learners with essential knowledge of climate change and environmental awareness. It enables individuals to comprehend the nature of climate change and their role in mitigating carbon emissions. Learners completing this program will be well-equipped to drive positive environmental change, both in the workplace and at home, making it a valuable qualification for those interested in environmental sustainability.
The curriculum focuses on the study of environmental awareness and carbon footprint reduction, relevant to a wide range of workplaces and individual lifestyles. Learners gain an understanding of environmental protection and effective actions that can be taken within their workplaces to mitigate the environmental impact of industry. The course also explores ways to reduce personal carbon footprints, ensuring learners are prepared to make eco-conscious decisions.

Entry criteria
Learners must be aged 19 or above and have not previously completed a similar qualification to qualify for funding. Some courses may have additional specific prerequisites. Please see fee information for funding requirements, or discuss upon enquiry.

These courses are government funded. To be able to study for free you must meet the following criteria:

- You must currently live in England

- You must have been a resident in the UK/EU for 3+ years for purposes other than study

- You must be over the age of 19

- You must not be an apprentice

- You must not be currently studying another funded course.

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
