Build Your Chinese (Mandarin): Speak, Listen, and Write with Confidence
In this course, you’ll build your Chinese skills through practical health-related topics. You’ll learn how to talk about healthy habits, weather precautions, and medical advice, including:• Healthy habits: Discussing the importance of keeping early hours for good health.• Weather and health: Talking about the effects of weather on health, like the need for warm clothing in the snow.• Medical situations: Describing improvement in health and stopping medication as advised by a doctor.Along with improving speaking and listening skills, this course will introduce you to the basics of Chinese characters, with a focus on understanding radicals and using grammar structures for more fluent conversations. You’ll also practice writing simple texts on the topics covered.Cultural insights will be woven throughout the course, with a special focus on Chinese traditions and festivals. To get the most out of your learning, expect a small amount of homework each week to reinforce what you’ve learned in class.

If you are to gain maximum benefit and enjoyment from your language learning, it will be useful to spend some time working between sessions. There will usually be a small amount of homework set each week. The course will equip students with some knowledge on radicals for better understanding of the Chinese characters, with grammar structures for more fluent conversation and for writing simple texts on learned topics. We will also introduce some culture/traditions alongside the Chinese traditional festivals. "

Entry criteria
This is a continuation course from Improvers' level, but If you have more than 1 year experience in the subject and consider yourself competent at this level, you should be able to join the class.
