You will continue to understand and make yourself understood in a range of increasingly unpredictable everyday situations and begin to express your opinion. The focus of this course will be mainly on speaking and listening. The course will include writing short paragraphs in Pinyin or characters depending on your choice, developing further basic skills in reading and writing Chinese characters.
You will study about 100 further new vocabularies around the topics below with an emphasis on pinyin and meaning. This will enable you to communicate in a range of really life situations: at work, in the classroom, in a conference room, in a gym, on the phone, in the supermarket, in the hospital, in a restaurant or café, at home or at various social occasions.

• House hunt – seeing a new place – make a comparison in finer details.
• To request or tell other people to do something
• Children are always listening to music while doing homework..
• Apart from Chinese, I also speak French.
• If I have money and time, I would go to Beijing for holiday.
• I think everybody can solve your problem.

The course will equip students with some knowledge on radicals for better understanding of the Chinese characters, with grammar structures for more fluent conversation and for writing simple texts on learned topics.

We will also introduce some culture/traditions alongside the Chinese festivals, and some common sayings and taboos.
