This Chair Yoga course is designed to make yoga accessible to everyone, regardless of age, flexibility, or physical ability.
Chair Yoga adapts traditional yoga poses to be performed while seated or using a chair for support. This course will help participants improve flexibility, strength, balance, and mental clarity in a safe and supportive environment.

Introduction to Chair Yoga: Overview of Chair Yoga principles, benefits, and setting personal goals for the course. Basic Seated Poses: Learning fundamental seated yoga poses such as Seated Mountain Pose, Seated Forward Bend, and Seated Cat-Cow Stretch. Breathing and Relaxation Techniques: Introduction to yogic breathing (Pranayama), including Diaphragmatic Breathing and Three-Part Breath, along with guided relaxation practices. Upper Body Focus: Exercises for upper body strength and flexibility, including Seated Shoulder Rolls, Neck Stretches, Arm Raises, and upper body flow sequences. Lower Body Focus: Strengthening and stretching lower body muscles through Seated Leg Lifts, Hamstring Stretches, Ankle Circles, and lower body flow sequences. Balance and Core Strength: Enhancing balance and core strength with Seated Core Twists, Seated Bicycle Legs, Seated Warrior Pose, and Seated Tree Pose. Integrating Chair Yoga into Daily Life: Developing a home practice routine, using Chair Yoga for stress relief, and adapting poses for specific needs like office workers or seniors. Mindfulness and Meditation: Practicing mindfulness during yoga sequences and learning seated meditation techniques to improve mental clarity and relaxation.

Fee information
As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
