Build your understanding of climate change from anywhere
Carbon Literacy Training (Online) provides learners with a practical understanding of climate change, carbon emissions, and the actions individuals and organisations can take to create a more sustainable future. Delivered remotely, this flexible course allows learners to develop their environmental awareness from any location while engaging with the same high-quality content as the in-centre programme. As sustainability becomes increasingly important across all industries, Carbon Literacy Training helps learners understand the challenges posed by climate change and the positive actions that can be taken to reduce environmental impact both personally and professionally.
Course units
The course covers the science of climate change, the causes and impacts of carbon emissions, global and local environmental challenges, sustainability principles, energy efficiency, carbon reduction strategies, and practical actions that can be taken at home and in the workplace. Learners will explore how individual and organisational choices can contribute to a more sustainable future and develop their own commitments to reducing carbon emissions.
What next?
Following completion of the course, learners can continue their sustainability journey through environmental and renewable technology qualifications, workplace sustainability initiatives, or further professional development in low-carbon technologies. The knowledge gained can also support organisations working towards environmental targets and net-zero commitments.
Entry criteria
There are no formal entry requirements for this course. It is suitable for individuals from all backgrounds who have an interest in sustainability, environmental responsibility, and understanding the impact of climate change.
