Understand climate change and take positive action
Carbon Literacy Training is designed to provide learners with an understanding of climate change, carbon emissions, and the actions individuals and organisations can take to reduce their environmental impact. Delivered in-centre by experienced trainers, this course explores the causes and consequences of climate change, the importance of sustainability, and the role that businesses and individuals play in creating a low-carbon future. The training is suitable for anyone looking to increase their environmental awareness, support sustainability initiatives, and contribute to reducing carbon emissions in the workplace and beyond.
Course units
The course covers the science of climate change, the causes and impacts of carbon emissions, global and local environmental challenges, sustainability principles, energy efficiency, carbon reduction strategies, and practical actions that can be taken at home and in the workplace. Learners will explore how individual and organisational choices can contribute to a more sustainable future and develop their own commitments to reducing carbon emissions.
What next?
Following completion of the course, learners can continue their sustainability journey through environmental and renewable technology qualifications, workplace sustainability initiatives, or further professional development in low-carbon technologies. The knowledge gained can also support organisations working towards environmental targets and net-zero commitments.
