Are you interested in starting your career in the world of business? If so, then this T-Level Foundation Year Programme offers you the opportunity to embark on your future career!
The opportunities in business are endless and we want to ensure that you are exposed to as many of these as possible throughout the year. Therefore, we include marketing, customer service, recruitment and selection, finance, retail and so much more!

Our specialist business lecturers will guide, support, and work with you to develop your skills and knowledge as you progress through this 1-year programme. You will learn by completing projects and various assessments based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. The programme introduces you to a range of areas in the exciting world of business whilst you will participate in an extended work experience programme.

This course is made up of a range of industry driven topics to fully prepare students for their next steps. These include:

What next?
With the BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Business qualification, you can progress onto the T Level in Business Management and Administration, an apprenticeship, or an alternative Level 3 programme.
Entry criteria
4 GCSES at Grade 3 including English or Maths OR a Level 1 pass in a related subject plus English or Maths, and both English and Maths must be at least grade 2 / Level 1 Functional Skills.
Fee information
Study trips and visits linked to modules will be arranged as part of your programme of study. These normally include an induction trip and visits to retail outlets and large business organisations. Any applicable fees regarding these trips will be advised at the start of the course. A day trip and induction trip fee will be payable at induction and are correct at the time of writing. To discuss financial support for these trips, please contact our bursary team.

Day trip fees: £60 (this covers two trips)

Induction trip fee: £50 (Oxford Challenge)

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.

Learning & method assessment
This course uses a blend of assessment methods including reports, assignments, presentations, and exams. Extended Work Experiences plays an important role in the Transition Programme.
User skills
This course provides students with the opportunity to develop the essential skills required to progress into the business or similar industry. As part of your programme, you will develop the following transferable skills in collaboration with local and regional employers:
