Develop your understanding of Customer Service and the Retail Industry with our introductory level study programme.
This introductory level study programme provides learners with the opportunity to develop their understanding of Customer Service and the Retail Industry, both in a theory and practical sense. Learners are given opportunities to practice and develop their skills before they can be implemented during work experience. The delivering tutors have extensive Customer Service experience, having been responsible for providing excellent customer service across a range of organisations.

For some, this will be their first step into studying Business Studies, whilst for others, it will prove valuable as they begin their journey into a variety of industries such as Retail Operations.

Regardless of the intended destination, this study programme has been designed to not only be full of valuable content but delivered in a fun and engaging way. All the while with the additional feature of being able to achieve two vocational qualifications simultaneously.

– Understand working in a customer service environment

– Communication in customer service

– Principles of personal performance and development

– Principles of working in a business environment

– Work with others in a business environment

– Understanding the business of retail

– Understanding how individuals and teams contribute to the effectiveness of a retail business

– Understanding the control, handling, and replenishment of stock in a retail business

– Understanding the retail selling process

What next?
With the BTEC Level 1 Certificate in Business qualification, you can progress onto the Business T Level Transition Level 2 course, an apprenticeship, or alternative Level 2 programme.
Entry criteria
English & Maths GCSE at Grade 2, or Level 1 Functional Skills in both subjects.
