This course is designed to provide knowledge and understanding of the requirements for the current Approved Document L, Volume 1: Dwellings, as well as giving guidance on how to comply with Part L of Schedule 1 to the Building Regulations and the energy efficiency requirements for dwellings.
Delivered in our state-of-the-art Net Zero Skills Hub Training Centre. The Energy Efficiency (Part L) training course has been made appropriate to the requirements of plumbers/ heating installers and gas engineers that need to self-certificate their work via one of the Competent Persons Schemes (CPS) and those that carryout work in new and existing dwellings whilst satisfying the requirements for compliance with Approved Document L1.

Qualifications received
BPEC Part L Energy Efficiency Certificate

The certificate awarded on completion of this course will demonstrate competence and is recognised and approved by the Energy Savings Trust, GAS SAFE and the Heating and Hot water Information Council (HHIC).

Learning & method assessment
This is a classroom-based course which will provide successful candidates with a nationally recognised qualification. A certificate of competence will be issued upon successful completion of the multiple choice assessment.
User skills
Upon successful completion candidates will be able to self-certificate their work via one of the Competent Persons Schemes (CPS) satisfying the requirements for compliance with Approved Document L1.
