Do you want to take your Barbering skills to the next level? Then this is the course for you. Learn up to date trends and techniques in men’s hair cutting and grooming to let your creativity and professionalism grow.
You will expand your current haircutting and beard trimming skills and build your confidence to produce a range of creative, up to date looks. You will learn how to design and create patterns in hair, how to colour men’s hair according to current trends and how to provide wet shaving services as delivered in the best Barbershops, all with excellent customer skills.
Course units
Creatively cut hair using a combination of barbering techniques.

Design and create a range of facial hair shapes.

Provide shaving services.

Provide client consultation services.

Design and create patterns in hair.

Colour and lighten men’s hair.

What next?
VTCT Level 2 and 3 Hairdressing, VTCT Level 2 Nail Technology or Level 3 Diploma in Make-Up Artistry.
Entry criteria
5 GCSEs at grade 4 including English or Maths OR a pass in the subject at level 2, with English and Maths not lower than a grade 3/Functional Skills L2 and at least grade 4 in one of English or Maths

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.

Learning & method assessment
You will build an online portfolio of evidence which will comprise of a mixture of assessment methods: written workbooks, multiple choice exam papers and practical services performed on real clients.
