This exciting one-year course will offer you the chance to learn about a variety of art, craft and design disciplines. You will explore painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, digitals arts and a range of 2D and 3D techniques. You will be able to develop a portfolio of work to support your progression onto a L3 qualification.
Over the course of the year, you will work on exciting projects that develop your creative and technical skills. This hands-on, practical course will introduce you to a broad range of creative materials, processes techniques and technologies, whilst learning about their application in the creative industries. You will be encouraged to grow an awareness of the value of research to support your experimentation and ideas. Tutorials, focused project work and visits to exhibitions will support your learning. You will learn to identify your creative strengths and set targets for your development. Students work towards exhibiting their own work at the end-of-year exhibition.

Alongside your Diploma, as part of your Futures Study Programme you will:

Develop your maths and English skills at the right level for you.

Complete 5 days of work experience to help you grow your employability skills.

Experience fun enrichment opportunities, including workshops, trips and visits.

Develop your personal skills and attributes with guidance and support.

The final unit of the course will be your opportunity to identify your creative strengths and apply these to a self-directed project of your choosing. As a UAL accredited institution, we have the opportunity to select student Final Major Project work to exhibit in London at the end of the academic year after successful completion of the Level 2 Diploma.
