Prepare with confidence for your AM2 assessment.
AM2 Preparation Training is designed to help learners build the practical skills, technical knowledge, and confidence needed to successfully complete the AM2 assessment. The course focuses on the key elements of the assessment, providing learners with the opportunity to practise tasks in a realistic environment while receiving guidance from experienced industry professionals. Whether you are approaching your AM2 for the first time or would like additional support before your assessment, this training helps ensure you understand what to expect and how to perform to the required industry standard.
Course units
The training covers the key practical and theoretical elements commonly assessed within the AM2, including containment installation, wiring systems, inspection and testing, fault diagnosis and rectification, safe isolation, health and safety requirements, and industry best practice. Learners will have the opportunity to practise assessment-style tasks, improve timing and efficiency, and receive feedback to help maximise their chances of success in the AM2 assessment.
What next?
Following successful completion of the AM2 assessment, learners can progress towards ECS Gold Card status and recognition as a fully qualified electrician. Learners may also choose to continue their professional development through qualifications in Inspection and Testing, EV Charging, Solar PV, Battery Storage, and other specialist electrical disciplines.
