If you are driven, professional, have an eye for numbers, and enjoy problem solving then the Accounting T Level could be your next step towards your future career.
The Accounting T Level is the equivalent size of 3 A Levels and is aimed at preparing you for a role as an assistant accountant. Assistant accountants are tasked with supporting qualified accountants within the businesses and financial organisations. They are involved in a wide range of accounting tasks, from report preparation to ledger maintenance, bank statements reconciliation, and cash flow forecasting.

You will develop knowledge of accounting specific tasks and processes as well as wider business theories and operations to provide you with the steps to transition into higher education, with the achievement of UCAS points, or professional work. You will also participate in an industry placement across both years of the course to gain valuable industry experience and develop wider professional skills.

What next?
T Level qualifications are the equivalent of 3 A Levels and therefore there are a variety of options for progression. Options include higher education (including degrees), higher level apprenticeships, work based training programs or stepping to a career.
Entry criteria
5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English and Maths OR a pass at Level 2 and English and Maths grade 4 or above.
Fee information
Study trips and visits linked to modules will be arranged as part of your programme of study. These normally include an induction trip and visits to retail outlets and large business organisations. Any applicable fees regarding these trips will be advised at the start of the course. A day trip and induction trip fee will be payable at induction and are correct at the time of writing.

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.

Qualifications received
At the end of the two-year programme, you will receive the T Level in Accounting which is equivalent to 3 A-Levels. UCAS points are also awarded to the equivalent 3 A-Level grades.
Learning & method assessment
You will be assessed through a range of written tasks, presentations, discussions, practical tasks, case studies, projects, and exams.

The course is assessed by two written examinations and an employer set project in the first year of the course, and a larger set project in the second year. The course is graded overall Pass, Merit or Distinction.
