Witney CampusThe purpose of the Level 3 Diploma in Accounting is to provide students with the specialist knowledge and skills required to progress to employment in an accounting or finance role or to further study in accountancy and finance. It is also suited to students studying part-time alongside employment, or to those already working in finance. On completion, students can progress to take the AAT level 4 Professional Diploma in Accounting. The qualification offers a broader focus across several subject areas which enhances employability. Our AAT courses run in several different formats to meet the needs of our learners. This option is a daytime course running on-site at our Abingdon campus; however, other formats are available via our website. In addition, students will have one-to-one tutorials with their tutor approximately 3 times per course.
Students can expect to spend a further 6-8 hours per week outside of college in order to complete the requirements of the programme.This option has multiple intakes throughout the year to fit around you, these include September, January and April
This qualification comprises four mandatory units:• Business Awareness• Financial Accounting: Preparing Financial Statements• Management Accounting Techniques• Tax Processes for Businesses.
Completion of this qualification can provide progression onto the Associate Bookkeeping membership, where students will gain professional recognition with the designatory letters AATQB (Qualified Bookkeeper). Students may also progress onto the Professional level and become a full member of AAT upon achieving the associated membership criteria. The Level 3 Diploma in Accounting also provides the skills required to support the establishment and operation of a healthy business."
Textbooks are required to support students’ study within each unit. The total cost is approximately £140 which is paid directly to the supplier by the student. Information on this is given at the time of enrolment.
AAT registration is required to be paid after enrolment to enable students to sit the examinations and access AAT resources. This is a one off fee for access to the L3 qualification for typically four to five years priced at £225
The exam fees for a first sitting are included in the tuition fee. However, resits will incur an additional cost.

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
