Dedicated outdoor garden spaces give learners a chance to practice digging, planting, pruning and general maintenance skills at different points in the season.
There are several state-of-the-art polytunnels, with automatic ventilation systems, large water tanks and sprinklers on timers, space for storing hundreds of plants of all sizes - even a large indoor pond complete with various species of fish and aquatic plant life.
A large workshop and storage unit allows students to work on tool safety and training and select whatever they need to use on their course from the huge range of equipment available; from pickaxes and spades of all sizes, to power tools and garden machinery.
