Our brilliant students and teachers from Pathways & Life Skills have put together this video to celebrate the success of WikiMe in allowing them to stay in touch during the lockdown.
Watch the video here.
Jeannie Donald-McKim, tutor for the Life Skills courses, said;
“Our students have been part of a pilot developing WikiMe in partnership with RIX and MultiMe for the past 5 years, for which we were among three finalists for a Beacon Award this year for student support. During Lockdown, Life Skills and Pathway students have been using WikiMe every day to keep in touch with fellow students and teachers.
WikiMe allows teachers to set and record activities, and arrange Zoom meetings that have covered quizzes, Bingo, singing lessons, dance sessions, yoga sessions, cooking lessons, virtual picnics, individual and group chats, birthday parties, and discos and we are having a virtual Prom this Friday!”
The NHSX TechForce19 program's mission is to deploy technology to help vulnerable people isolated by COVID19. NHSX called on all innovators who can support the elderly, vulnerable, and self-isolating to apply for government funding of up to £25,000 to test their solution. RIX Research and Media is one of only 18, from 1643 applicants, to have been awarded the funding.
