A programme designed for learners 18+ with an EHCP who need to develop and consolidate skills further for living independently in the future.

3 days a week

The course builds on student’s prior knowledge and skills and gives them opportunities to work more independently and prepare for adulthood. The course will cover:

- Cooking and cleaning skills

- Communication and interacting with others

- Work experience opportunities

- Using public transport

- Handling money

- Personal skills

- Keeping safe

- Health and wellbeing

- Citizenship

- Planning for adult life

Course units
Personalised according to students needs but will cover topics such as using public transport, handling money, cooking skills, personal health, and hygiene, keeping safe and communication skills
What next?
At an appropriate time depending on progress made against EHCP outcomes students could transition into Supported Living, Adult Social Care or Adult Learning
Entry criteria
Places on these courses are coordinated through the EHCP Consultation process via Oxfordshire County Council SEN team. Students will also be assessed during transition meetings to be able to confirm a Pathways placement.

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
