Are you a new smallholder wanting to start breeding your own flock of sheep? Do you find the concept of lambing on your own scary? This day course is designed to give an insight into safe and efficient lambing procedures and aims to equip learners with the practical skills and confidence to successfully lamb a small flock of ewes.
This course is held at our Common Leys Farm Campus where you will be taught in the Livestock Technology Centre. Along with theory sessions, you will also be able to get hands on practice, working in the barn with the College’s ewes and lambs. During the day you will be shown how to tag, tail dock and castrate.
