Strathfield Brake Sports GroundThis is a 10-week qualification of two-hour, weekly workshops. The qualification purpose is to give learners knowledge and understanding and an introduction to the skills required in Business and Retail to support progression to employment to an apprenticeship or to further study at a higher level.
In order to avoid disappointment, please enrol at least 2½ weeks before the course start date.
The aim of this qualification is to give learners time to research job opportunities in each sector, identify the skills and knowledge they will need for specific job roles and then plan how they are going to achieve their ambitions in this area of work.
Please note there will be no classes on 03/04/2024 or 10/04/2024.
Please bring own refreshments, if required.
Please note that the class is held on the first floor.

Learners will be able to progress to the next levels in Business or Retail and take other qualifications in OAL.

The method of assessment for the qualification is through a portfolio of evidence that the learner will create with their tutor. Learners will have the opportunity to complete worksheets, participate in group work and pair as well as completing peer and self-assessments. The tutor will also observe the learners in the classroom and have opportunities to give feedback.
